Tuition Policy for Expanded Providence Metropolitan Area at Rhode Island College
Rhode Island College students whose permanent place of residence is a Massachusetts community within a 20-mile radius of Providence are eligible for the in-state tuition rates plus 50%. The eligible communities are:

Blackstone
Dartmouth
Dighton*
Douglas
Easton
Fall River
Foxboro
Franklin
Freetown
Hopedale
Lakeville
Mansfield
Mendon/Upton
Millville
Norfolk*
North Attleboro
Norton
Plainville
Raynham
Rehoboth
Seekonk
Somerset
Swansea
Taunton
Uxbridge
Walpole
Westport
Wrentham*
*Graduates of Dighton/Rehoboth and King Philip Regional High Schools are from these areas.
This policy should be periodically updated to be consistent with the New England Board of Higher Education policy.
