All bills introduced in the Rhode Island General Assembly which concern any of the institutions under the Council on Postsecondary Education’s (CPE) jurisdiction are to be channeled through the Office of the Postsecondary Commissioner to the appropriate president. These bills will be summarized in the “Commissioner’s Report to the CPE” at all CPE meetings which take place during the legislative session, with comments from the individual presidents on those bills which are directly related to their respective institutions.
