The U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs recently informed OPC that our state approving agency rating for fiscal year 2023 was awarded a top tier rating of satisfactory.
The Joint Peer Review Group of the VA had convened and reviewed OPC’s FY23 cooperative agreement self-assessment with their own quarterly evaluations/recommendations to determine the rating.
State approving agencies are generally responsible for the approval of education and training programs in their respective states. They are the pathway into VA for a program’s recognition and identification as being eligible for the payment of VA education benefits. Colleges, universities, and other training establishments seeking to provide VA eligible training programs work with their state’s SAA.
