Moving expenses shall not be reimbursed for new employees of the Community College of Rhode Island, Rhode Island College, the University of Rhode Island or the Office of Higher Education.
In cases where a president of an institution or the commissioner of Higher Education decides it is in the best interest of an institution or the office to reimburse an employee for all or a portion of the moving expenses incurred by the relocation of that individual, the president or the commissioner is authorized to make an exception to this policy. Such decisions shall be reported for the information of the Board of Governors.
