Tuition Policy for Contract Spaces
The Board of Governors confirms the limited use of contracts for securing spaces in high demand, high-need professional programs where such spaces provided in the state are inadequate to meet the needs of the state.
All new contracts shall be based on the assumption that the participating student will pay the major share of the cost for the contracted space. All new contracts shall be secured on a cost-for-space to Rhode Island basis, which includes both assumed state subsidy and tuition paid by student rather than upon a cost of subsidy with tuition to student to be added by the contracting institution.
