Mike Grey

Bio

In 2023, Governor Dan McKee appointed Mike Grey to serve as the chairman of the Board of Education for the State of Rhode Island. This consolidated governance of all public education in Rhode Island is an innovative integration of policymaking and planning for elementary, secondary and higher public education.

Grey serves as chairman of the Governor’s Workforce Board, appointed in 2016 with the instruction to convene the entire state workforce development resources under a single entity. During that time, he also became an ex-officio member of the Rhode Island Board of Education for Elementary and Secondary Education and Postsecondary Education. He has also previously served on the Career and Technical Education Board of Trustees and was co-chair of the Criminal Justice Reform subcommittees for youths and adults.

He is the president of FirstService Residential Massachusetts. He earned a bachelor of science degree in hospitality/business from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and an MBA from Nicols College.
